I hope I am right when I say that this is your first business card, and it will get you on your way to success and prosperity!
But you have to make it happen!
So, I will speak to you here as if you were an adult, because I firmly believe that you should always be treated this way…. as small grown-ups. If you don’t know a word, look it up. One of the great ways to learn is to read and research.
At your age, your mind is at it’s best! … it’s most agile. You learn much more easily when you are young. Use it to your advantage!
You should be taught everything that you need to know, to be a successful adult, as early in life as possible. We need you to be amazing.
Because growing up as descendants of slaves, we lack the information, education, and input from successful and prosperous people, that we need to compete and thrive.
This is true for many poor people, and it is the biggest problem we have.
Every one of you needs high-quality guidance and high-quality data, to be your best.
You may not be thinking about your future. You’ve got to do something about that now. You have got a lot of work to do. You will not be able to survive in a world where you cannot compete.
I cannot express to you how much better and how much easier your life will be, if you are educated, well prepared, and highly intelligent. Even if you don’t go to college. We need to find what you like and make sure you can do that kind of work.
Mind you, you will have to work hard and you will have to be tough, but you can be rich and you can be famous and you can be a fabulous human being. You don’t need to be ‘broke’. So many of us do not have enough money to live.
Yet it does not have to be like that. There is no element in your way. You don’t have to worry about discrimination, you don’t have to worry about coming from poverty, you don’t have to worry about anything.
You simply have to make it happen for yourself. There is no justification for failure. Your future and your life depend on it!
We care deeply about what happens to you. You need to hear that more often.
And we desperately need you to step up and help get us where we need to be.

Black People are strong, graceful, beautiful human beings. We are wise, thoughtful, fun and funny; warm, witty, interesting, lovable, and quite beautiful to see.
We are some of the greatest people on earth. Black people are the most friendly, empathetic, congenial, approachable, nurturing people on the planet. At our best, everybody loves us.
We need to begin, ourselves, to fix those things that are broken about us. No one can do that for us.
We are above average in so many ways. We need to become above average in everything we do. It starts with you.
No excuses.
